WHAT DO I DO?

Everything talent focused, pretty much.

Since 2017 I’ve been helping to scale and build operational, technical and software teams, working in collaboration with start-ups, SME’s and corporate sized organisations to source, attract and engage highly skilled talent in an ever-growing candidate driven market.

I’m a hands-on, delivery focused talent partner who enjoys managing the full recruitment lifecycle. I possess a consultative and transparent approach when it comes to partnering with hiring managers, stakeholders and candidates. I'm also experienced in working on the talent strategy side, helping businesses redefine their current recruitment processes, become more diverse and inclusive, helping them become a more attractive employer through branding and improving their time to hire.

I provide talent solutions, driven by my passion for helping to grow businesses, working closely with business owners, stakeholders and hiring managers. During my time in recruitment, I’ve worked with some brilliant people both locally here in the UK and across Europe and the USA.

I’m experienced at improving processes in every area involved in the full recruitment lifecycle from streamlining the application and interview process through to enhancing the onboarding process to make sure top talent is attracted and retained.

I’m hands-on and delivery focused, concentrating on quality over quantity hiring, always looking to match the right talented individuals to the right role/company by being transparent with candidates and hiring managers, creating better retention and longevity.

​I’m experienced in building open, honest and trustworthy relationships with stakeholders and hiring managers. I’ve had the pleasure of working with varying magnitudes of stakeholders right up to c-suite level.

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

 

I believe a diverse and inclusive workforce is important for any company to flourish. I’m passionate about leading on and boosting diversity and inclusion (including neurodiversity) initiatives in the workplace.

EMPLOYER BRANDING

 

​I enjoy being creative by building bespoke marketing content to advertise businesses in a meaningful way that will separate us from the competition and attract the best talent. This goes beyond just revising job specs and job ads.

HR SUPPORT

 

Through my career I’ve supported HR functions with all elements that coincide with talent, such as raising contracts, onboarding candidates, conducting exit interviews, benefits reviews, diversity & inclusion.

WHAT DO I SPECIALISE IN?

I'm a generalist when it comes to my in-house experience having worked across every core service business function including finance, marketing, sales, human resources, you name it. My bread and butter is tech roles due to being in the software industry for many years now. This includes Software Engineers (FE/BE/FS) within most tech stacks. I've also placed QA Engineers, Platform Engineers (AWS/Azure), UX/UI Designers, Product Owners, Project Managers, Business Analysts and Tech Leads, anyone within the full software development lifecycle really.

For me, talent acquisition always has been, and always will be, about people. It’s not just about recruiting someone to fill a vacancy, it involves an ongoing strategy to find the perfect fit, not just for a position, but a team, and a company.

 

Regardless of what technology is out there to help us with our processes, we always need to be mindful of maintaining the human element.

 

Technology cannot replace emotional intelligence, it cannot understand the full scope of the role or assess candidate fit, and most of all, it cannot support a person through the process.

 

My approach will always be tailored to the individual, providing a human centric and transparent style throughout.
